Bio 17 : Noise pollution

1. Noise pollution is the occurance of excessive noise in the environment that disturb the tranquility of life.

2. The location of sound is measured using the decibel (d8) unit.

3. Human ears can only receive sounds less than 80 db.

4.The sources of noise pollution are
~aircraft
~trains
~construction sites
~machines and equipment in factories
~traffic

5. Effects of noise pollution :
~hearing problem (deafness)
~ear injury
~headaches
~emotion and mental disturbances
~high blood pressure
~psychological problems
