Bio 5 : Types of Nutrition

1. There are 2 of types of nutrition :
    a. Autotrophic nutrition
    b. Heterotrophic nutrition

2. Autotrophic nutrition is a type of nutrition in which organisms synthesise the organic compounds (food) they require from inorganic substances.

3. Heterotrophic nutrition is a type of nutrition in which organisms have to depend on autotraphs or other organisms as a source of energy as they cannot synthesis their own food.

4. The organism that carry out autrophic nutrition are called autotrophs.

5. Organism that carry out heterotrophic nutrition are called heterotrophs.
